Stearns edges Anisimova in three-set all-American second round in Madrid

Peyton Stearns edged No. 15 seed Amanda Anisimova in the Mutua Madrid Open second round to notch her seventh career Top 20 win, and second of 2025. It was the first time the two 23-year-old Americans had faced each other at any level.
