Parrizas Diaz defeats wild card Rapolu in Austin first round

Nuria Parrizas Diaz moved into the second round of the ATX Open by posting a 6-2, 6-4 win over former University of Texas player Malaika Rapolu, who made her WTA main-draw debut on Monday.
