Wang Xinyu improved to 2-0 against No.2 seed Jessica Pegula, reprising her Wimbledon upset with a straight-sets win in the Dongfeng Voyah · Wuhan Open third round. The result was Wang's second career Top 10 win (both of which have come over Pegula) and moved her into her first WTA 1000 quarterfinal.
