No.9 seed Beatriz Haddad Maia levelled her head-to-head with Veronika Kudermetova at two wins apiece with a straight-sets win in the Dongfeng Voyah · Wuhan Open second round. Both of Haddad Maia's victories have come in the 2024 Asian swing, following her defeat of Kudermetova in the Seoul semifinals.
