On WTA debut, Croatian qualifier Ruzic upsets Podoroska in Monastir
Croatian qualifier Antonia Ruzic, 21, came from a set down to upset No.4 seed Nadia Podoroska in the Jasmin Open first round. Ruzic, who was contesting her first WTA main draw, notched the first completed Top 100 win of her career (having previously defeated Oceane Dodin via retirement in the 2021 Hamburg ITF W35 quarterfinals).
