Putintseva ousts defending champ Gauff in Cincinnati second round
Yulia Putintseva came from 4-2 down in the third set to upset No.2 seed and defending champion Coco Gauff in the second round of the Cincinnati Open. The result was Putintseva's seventh career Top 5 win (and second of 2024), and her first win in four encounters with Gauff.
