Bassols Ribera bests Bara to post first WTA main draw win at 13th attempt
Marina Bassols Ribera defeated wild card Irina Bara in straight sets in the first round of the UniCredit Iasi Open. The result was Bassols Ribera's first WTA main draw victory at her 13th attempt; the Spaniard made her debut at Palermo 2021 and had lost all 12 of her previous matches at this level.
