No.5 seed Viktoriya Tomova saved three set points trailing 6-5 in the first set en route to defeating 17-year-old wild card Renata Jamrichova in the first round of the Livesport Prague Open. Junior No.1 Jamrichova, the Australian Open and Wimbledon girls' champion, was playing her first WTA main draw match.
