Lucia Bronzetti delivered the first home win at the Palermo Ladies Open after the Italian, the 2022 runner-up, overcame Elsa Jacquemot in a three-set first round that ended after 1 a.m. local time. Bronzetti extended her winning streak to six following the Contrexéville WTA 125 title the previous week.
