Rus outlasts Trevisan in marathon Palermo first round
In a clash of players who had won lower-level titles the previous week, No.5 seed and Hague ITF W75 winner Arantxa Rus defeated Bastad 125 champion Martina Trevisan in 3 hours and 11 minutes in the first round of the Palermo Ladies Open. The match was paused due to a power cut at 5-4 to Rus in the second set.
