Spanish No.1 Sorribes Tormo defeats Pera in Madrid opener

Sara Sorribes Tormo notched a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Bernarda Pera in the opening round of the Mutua Madrid Open on Wednesday. Sorribes Tormo saved a set point at 5-4 in the first set.
