No.1 seed Maria Sakkari saved five set points in the second set and snapped a three-match losing streak against No.5 seed Donna Vekic to reach the Upper Austria Ladies Linz semifinals. Sakkari had last defeated Vekic, who still leads the overall head-to-head 5-3, at Indian Wells 2018.
