  • Wild card Katie Volynets saved one match point trailing 5-0 in the third set against Anastasia Potapova in the second round of Austin -- then reeled off seven straight games for a 5-7, 6-2, 7-5 win and a spot in her first WTA quarterfinal.

  • The Miami quarterfinals saw Jessica Pegula escape Anastasia Potapova from a break down in the decider for the second straight tournament. Potapova held two match points serving at 5-4, but Pegula came through 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(2).
  • Carol Zhao saved triple match point in the third-set tiebreak to defeat Maria Lourdes Carle 4-6, 7-5, 7-6(6) in the first round of Bogota -- the Canadian's third career tour-level win, and first on clay.
  • Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova led Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva 3-1 in set two and 5-3 in set three, but needed to save one match point before converting her fourth to win 6-1, 6-7(5), 7-6(7).
  • The Madrid fourth round saw Veronika Kudermetova save two match points serving at 5-6 in the third set en route to her first win in three attempts over Daria Kasatkina 7-5, 1-6, 7-6(2).

  • In the Strasbourg quarterfinals, Lauren Davis saved two match points as Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova served for the match at 5-4 in set two, ultimately winning 1-6, 7-6(2), 6-0.
  • Sloane Stephens saved triple match point in the deciding tiebreak to defeat Peyton Stearns 6-7(4), 6-3, 7-6(6) in an all-American quarterfinal in Rabat.

  • Rebecca Marino saved four match points in the second round of Birmingham to beat Emina Bektas 6-4, 4-6, 7-6(1). Bektas held triple match point serving at 5-4 in the decider, only for Marino to win 21 of the last 25 points of the match.
  • Cristina Bucsa scored her second Slam win of 2023 from match point down in the first round of Wimbledon, saving four in a row from 9-5 down in the deciding match tiebreak to beat Kamilla Rakhimova 6-3, 4-6, 7-6[9].
  • Lesia Tsurenko saved five match points in the longest third-set women's tiebreak in Grand Slam history before converting her seventh to defeat Ana Bogdan 4-6, 6-3, 7-6[18] in the Wimbledon third round.
