Last season highlighted by QF at Charleston (as LL, d. Pegula en route, l. Anisimova). Also won WTA 125K Series tournament at Concord, MA (upset Pera in final to snap 16-match win streak)

Made 2r at 2021 Wimbledon (l. Siniakova); win over Govortsova in opening match was first at a major since beating Siegemund in 1r at 2018 Roland Garros

At 2021 Birmingham, reached first SF since 2018 (as qualifier, l. Kasatkina)

Missed almost two years of tennis due to complex regional pain syndrome in 2019 and then hand surgery after a freak microwave accident in 2020
