MONTERREY, Mexico - Four-time champion Anastasia Pavlychenkova scored her latest career milestone at the Abierto GNP Seguros on Wednesday.
The No.3 seed recorded the third double-bagel victory of her porfessional career over Serbia's Ivana Jorovic, needing just 51 minutes to return to the last eight.
The victory for the Russian was the second 6-0, 6-0 match at WTA level so far this season, following Maria Sharapova's victory over Harriet Dart at the Australian Open.
It is the second double bagel for the World No.33 in less than 12 months, as she recorded the same scoreline against Tatjana Maria at the Internationaux de Strasbourg in May en route to winning the title.
"I feel great, I feel good and I really like to play here. It's one of my favorite tournaments and I always love coming back here," Pavlyuchenkova said after the match.
"The last game I was struggling because my concentration level got a little low. The match was tough, every point. She had a lot of opportunities as well in the second set, so I'm just happy that I won it so easily."
Pavlyuchenkova hammered 20 winners in the match, exactly four times Jorovic's total, to just 12 unforced errors and won six of the nine break points she created.
The Serbian was unable to match the Russian's power off the ground, as three of her five winners in the match were aces, and she was unable to to convert two break point chances in the second set after winning just one point on return in the first.
