As Tiger Woods won the Masters on Sunday, plenty of WTA stars were watching - and hailing his comeback from repeated and serious back surgeries to reach the top of his sport once more.
Serena Williams - who has herself recovered from health issues as she aims to win a 24th singles Slam title - described Woods's achievement of a 15 major title as an "inspiration".
I am literally in tears watching @TigerWoods this is Greatness like no other. Knowing all you have been through physically to come back and do what you just did today? Wow Congrats a million times! I am so inspired thank you buddy.

And the legendary Pam Shriver pointed out that there had been plenty of impressive sporting comebacks in tennis too.
“Winning trance” great phrase on @GolfChannel about a tremendous life comeback. Forget sports comeback... Seles, Capriati, Sampras, Agassi, Kvitova all remarkable tennis comebacks. If/when Serena wins another major her comeback will be elite as well. What a fun day of golf.
