MATCH POINTS

This will be the first meeting between Patricia Maria Tig and Elena Rybakina, both of whom are seeking their first WTA singles title.

Unranked qualifier Tig is playing her first WTA-level main draw since Guangzhou in September of 2017. Tig missed all of 2018, first due to injuries and then to pregnancy, but the new mother has compiled a 25-7 record on the ITF World Tennis Tour since her return in April of this year.

24-year-old Tig is into her second WTA singles final. She reached the championship match at Baku in 2015 before losing to Margarita Gasparyan.

20-year-old Rybakina is into her first WTA singles final this week, having just made her first-ever WTA semifinal at s-Hertogenbosch last month.

Rybakina is currently at a career-high ranking of World No.106, but is projected to move into the Top 85 following her performance this week.

Kristyna Pliskova is seeking her fourth WTA doubles title, while Viktoria Kuzmova aims to win her second. Their team will face opposition from the all-Romanian duo of Jaqueline Cristian and Elena-Gabriela Ruse, who are both contesting their first-ever WTA final.
