BRONX, NY, USA - Former Doubles World No.1 Liezel Huber was honored with a retirement collage, presented at the NYJTL Bronx Open's home, the Cary Leeds Center for Tennis and Learning - where she is now executive director of tennis.
During her playing career, Huber won five Grand Slam doubles titles - two Wimbledon, two US Open and one Australian Open - as well as two mixed doubles crowns. Overall, she won 53 WTA Doubles titles.
She spent 199 weeks at No.1 in WTA World Doubles Ranking, second only to Martina Navratilova, and was part of the US Fed Cup team between 2008 and 2013.
An Olympian in Beijing in 2008 and London in 2012, Huber also served for seven years on the WTA Players’ Council, and currently sits on the USTA Board of Directors.
