MALLORCA, Spain - Angelique Kerber says she feels right at home in Spain - and is hopeful that she can convert that to a tournament win at the Mallorca Open.

"I'm confident I can have a good tournament," said the German. "Playing in Mallorca is like being at home. I hope to win some day here and make a good preparation for Wimbledon. I am feeling great, I love playing on grass and last year I practiced here at the Mallorca Open," said the German.

"Angelique always plays 100 per cent," added tournament director Toni Nadal. "She is a great fighter and although she has had a difficult 2017, this year she has a lot of chances to be up again in the rankings,"

Kerber will be joined in Mallorca in June by World No.7 Caroline Garcia and Spain's Carla Suárez Navarro.
