WTA Fantasy Tennis: Marion Bartoli's picks for Roland Garros

As the Race heads to Paris, Marion Bartoli gives advice on who you should pick for WTA Fantasy Tennis.
MARION BARTOLI FANTASY PICKS:
Elina Svitolina
“Elina Svitolina is my top favorite; the way she was able to defend her title in Rome is really impressive. She’s been so solid on the clay, and I think the Grand Slam experience she has been building is going to help her go very deep this fortnight in Paris.”
Simona Halep
“Simona Halep has reached the final twice already at Roland Garros, and there’s no reason she can’t do the same and lift the trophy this time. She defends so well and doesn’t give you an inch, and she’s had some good wins heading into Paris. She should feel confident.”
Petra Kvitova
“Petra Kvitova was so impressive in winning back-to-back titles at Prague and Madrid. If it’s a fast Roland Garros, which it looks to be, her attacking game could make the difference. She could well add to the two Grand Slam titles she’s already won on grass at Wimbledon.”
Karolina Pliskova
“Karolina Pliskova won Stuttgart and made the semis at Madrid, which must give her a lot of confidence. She also made the semis in Paris last year and I feel she has really improved her movement on clay. If she feels comfortable, she’s definitely capable of going all the way.”
Looking to take a chance on your picks? Check out Marion Bartoli's sleeper picks:
Sleeper Pick: Maria Sharapova
“Maria Sharapova played really well in Rome, and had some great victories in three sets. She’s starting to pick up her game and I think feel more confident physically on court. She’s moving better and for me, she’s always such a great competitor.”
Sleeper Pick: Anett Kontaveit
“Anett Kontaveit is someone who in the past has posted some great wins but maybe struggled to close out matches against the big players. She’s really turned that around this clay season, and is clearly capable of pulling off big upsets in Paris.”
Sleeper Pick: Daria Kasatkina
“Daria Kasatkina keeps improving, made a terrific run to the final at Indian Wells this year and has registered some great wins. Maybe clay isn’t her best surface, but I still feel she can sneak in there with a strong run deep into the second week.”
Sleeper Pick: Caroline Garcia
“Caroline Garcia is in the Top 10 so she isn’t really an outsider, but goes a little under the radar. Reaching the quarters last year, she really felt how the French crowd can help lift her game, and if she finds the same momentum she could go even further this year.”
