Flipkens edges Kuzmova in Den Bosch thriller to return to final

'S-HERTOGENBOSCH, Netherlands - Former finalist Kirsten Flipkens is back in the final at the Libéma Open, courtesy of a wild 7-5, 6-7(7), 6-4 win over rising Slovak Viktoria Kuzmova.
The 2013 runner-up in Den Bosch to Simona Halep had four match points in the second set, including three in the tiebreak, only to be stretched to a decider by the 20-year-old World No.81, and found herself trailing 4-1 in the deciding set.
After not winning a point in Kuzmova's first three service games of the final set, Flipkens pulled off an incredible comeback of her own, winning the last five games to book herself a spot in her fifth career WTA final on her fifth match point.

Flipkens withstood 44 winners off of the Slovakian's racquet over the course of two hours and 36 minutes - nearly double her own total of 24 - but converted 6-of-12 break points she held in the encounter to secure a spot against Serbia's Aleksandra Krunic.
The Serb pulled off a similarly dramatic comeback against top seed and two-time champion CoCo Vandeweghe in the first semifinal, saving a match point to win in three sets.
