June 2018 Shot of the Month: Caroline Wozniacki

Not only did she raise the trophy in Eastbourne - but Caroline Wozniacki
On her way to winning her second title of the season at the Nature Valley International in Eastbourne, Wozniacki pulled off your Shot of the Month in the second round against British No.1 Johanna Konta.
After rallying from a set down to not only level the match, but move ahead by a break in the final set, the Australian Open champion saved a break point in fine defensive style.
A lengthy baseline rally saw Konta attempt to change things up and draw the Dane to net, but Wozniacki's defensive skills proved top class as she poked a one-handed backhand lob over the Brit's head to win the point.
The point was a harbinger of things to come for Halep in the tournament, as it was the first match she won in which she faced a deficit en route to the title. Later, she saved a match point in the semifinals to defeat Angelique Kerber, and held off Aryna Sabalenka
