WTA Rankings 2018: Cornet climbs, Martic moves up

It's a colossal climb in the rankings for France's Alizé Cornet, who makes a 14-place leap up from No.48 to No.34.
The Gstaad champion went into the week as top seed, and proved her quality, not dropping a single set throughout the tournament.
Here are some of the week's other notable rankings movers:
Petra Martic
Samantha Stosur (+9, No.73 to No.64): The Australian was seeded fifth in Gstaad, and reached the quarterfinal by beating Francesca Schiavone and then Patty Schnyder.
Wang Yafan (+13, No.84 to No.71): The 24-year-old reached the quarterfinal in Bucharest after France's Pauline Parmentier retired from their Round of 16 match-up.
Polona Hercog (+15, No.90 to No.75): The Slovenian's week in Bucharest ended in disappointment when she retired from her semifinal against Anastasija Sevastova through injury. Seeded eighth, she had already beaten Elena Ruse, Irina Bara
Evgeniya Rodina (+8, No.92 to No.84): After a successful Wimbledon - in which she reached the fourth round for the first time, losing to fellow mom Serena Williams - the Russian beat fourth seed Carina Witthoeft in the Gstaad first round, then Germany's Mona Barthel
