MATCH POINTS

Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic won the pair's most recent meeting, beating Ashleigh Barty and CoCo Vandeweghe en route to winning the Birmingham title earlier this year.

Both Ashleigh Barty and Kristina Mladenovic have previously made the final at Flushing Meadows, but with different partners. Barty lost alongside compatriot Casey Dellacqua five years ago while fellow Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia went down with Mladenovic two years ago.

CoCo Vandeweghe is playing in her first Slam doubles final, whereas Ashleigh Barty is taking part in her fifth - two more than both Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic.

Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic previously won a Slam doubles title at the Australian Open earlier this year, with the Frenchman also taking the honors at the French Open in 2016, alongside compatriot Caroline Garcia.

Kristina Mladenovic and Timea Babos have both won 18 career doubles titles - 10 more than Ashleigh Barty and 15 more than CoCo Vandeweghe.

Neither pairing have dropped a set en route to Sunday's final. Two of the last three doubles winners have taken the trophy without being taken the distance once.

Timea Babos will retain her World No.1 doubles rankings regardless of Sunday's result, whereas partner Kristina Mladenovic will rise to No.2, equalling her career best

Ashleigh Barty is seeking to become the first Australian winner in 13 years, since Samantha Stosur partnered Lisa Raymond to victory in 2005. The last home winner of the doubles was Bethanie Mattek-Sands, two years ago alongside Lucie Safarova.

There has never been a Hungarian winner, whereas Nathalie Dechy was the last French champion, taking the 2007 crown partnering Dinara Safina.
