Kiki Bertens named Netherlands' player of the year

Kiki Bertens has been named the Netherlands' player of the year by the country's tennis association.
The 27-year-old broke the Top 10 this year, and competed in the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global.
She also won the Volvo Car Open, the Cincinnati Open, and the Korea Open, all leading to her being named the WTA Most Improved Player of 2018.
Demi Schuurs was named as the best doubles player of the year.
"We are proud of the success of our top Dutch tennis players, which inspires all fans and tennis players in the Netherlands," said technical director Jacco Eltingh.
