Tennis has recently been pronounced the most fashionable sport in the world, based on a research and analysis conducted by global fashion search platform Lyst. Now that the US Open is just about to start in New York City, Marija Zivlak of Women’s Tennis Blog will show us what the exciting world of WTA couture will present at tennis’ most fashionable tournament.

Defending champion Sloane Stephens will rock the vibrant orange Nike Fall Slam Dress. A large side slit exposes eye-catching printed shorts, which sell separately. A keyhole at back is teamed up with the all over pindot mesh fabric equipped with Nike Zonal Cooling technology to ensure maximum breathability.

In qualifying rounds, a lot of players sported Stephens’ NikeCourt dress, only the guava ice color variant, seen here on Eugenie Bouchard.

There are two versions of Maria Sharapova’s Nike Fall Maria NY Dress, both including cut-out sections for stylish breathability.

The soft, stretchy fabric and Dri-FIT Technology ensure ultimate comfort. The shape of waist-slimming colorblocks is coordinated with the V-neck.

Nike cooperated with Off-White’s Virgil Abloh to create a bold ballerina dress for Serena Williams' US Open appearance. While tulle skirts are not a novelty in WTA fashion, the dress' one-long-sleeve design definitely is. Adding to the shocking effect is the nude colorblock that gives the effect of an off-shoulder.

Moreover, the tennis icon will step onto the court wearing a special PE edition of her NikeCourt Flare 2, featuring all the signature markings.

Karolina Pliskova posted this promo image on Twitter, saying that she’s in love with her new Fila Fall Heritage Print Racer Tank, a V-neck design which boasts a sparkle star print and shimmery, breathable fabric that shines as it moves. Moisture-wicking technology, UPF 30+ sun protection and built-in shelf bra make this tank a complete package.

Even though the new Heritage collection also features a solid white pleated skirt, the Czech opted for the print all over, picking the night-sky-inspired Fila Fall Heritage Print Flirty Skirt.

Venus Williams will wear the EleVen Prima Donna collection which pairs 80s graffiti punch with streamlined US Open-ready athletic silhouettes. The collection offers a variety of tops, skirts, leggings, and accessories that combine the bold print with pops of colors called pink yarrow and lime popsicle.

The American never wears just one dress at Grand Slams, as she likes to present as many outfits as possible. This photo shows the Prima Donna Portal Tank and the Prima Donna Shimmer Skirt.

Just like Venus Williams sticks to prints, all Stella McCartney’s designs in recent years play with colorblocks and laser cuts, plus snakeskin detailing in recent months. The NYC-ready adidas Barricade Tank and Skirt follow along those lines. It goes without saying that the outfit is made of technologically-advanced fabrics that keep players dry and cool.

Garbiñe Muguruza's black adidas Fall Barricade Warp Tank features a secure fit that forms to your shape and seamless design for minimal chafing and distractions. Engineered cutouts around the upper chest and back are stylish textural details that serve as ventilation channels. The Spaniard will debut the tank with the Barricade Shorts made of smooth satin with a little bit of shine.

Angelique Kerber’s adidas Fall Barricade Dress is not just a simple black dress -- a closer look reveals beautiful diamond pattern mesh, while the back includes strappy design with triangular hardware accessorized by adidas Barricade Code printed on the central strap. The quick-dry dress includes a bra and short tights.

Lacoste’s official promo imagery shows Christina McHale in the Fall Cap Sleeve Top, featuring a white mesh back panel for ventilation, and the windowpane-patterned Fall Pleated Skirt.

Lotto-sponsored athletes Agnieszka RadwanskaMagdalena Rybarikova, Elise Mertens and Alizé Cornet will wear the new Barre Flash collection, highlighted by the Lotto Barre Dress, a feminine design featuring elongated back hem with stylish ruffles and racerback silhouette with mesh construction. The striped print is dominated by pink tones.

The collection also includes the Lotto Barre Top, Lotto Barre Tank and Lotto Barre Skirt.

Heather Watson battled through the US Open qualifying in the New Balance Fall Tournament Tank and New Balance Fall Tournament Skirt. The striped tank is beautifully paired with a solid grey stretch woven skirt that boasts a variety of subtle features, such as a hidden elastic waistband, rounded bottom hem and laser perforations.

Asics places special gel on the back of tanks and dresses, which in contact with sweat expands to create a ventilation space between the skin and the fabric, allowing air to flow. The Gel-Cool technology and stretch construction that adapts to every move help players bring out their best game. CoCo Vandeweghe is seen here wearing the Asics Fall Court Dress and Solution Speed FF shoes.

Tennis fashion enthusiasts can look forward to the 2018 US Open, as once again a plethora of unique, stylish and comfortable outfits are ready to grace the courts at Flushing Meadows.
