Keys kicks off Miami campaign with opening victory over Avanesyan
Madison Keys, the No. 5 seed and reigning Australian Open champion, posted a 6-3, 6-3 win over Elina Avanesyan on Friday night to reach the Miami Open third round. Keys is making her 14th appearance at the tournament, with a run to the 2016 quarterfinals being her career-best showing.
