Qualifier Birrell saves match point, edges Potapova in Miami first round
Qualifier Kimberly Birrell came from a set and 2-0 down in the second set, then 5-3 down in the third, to defeat Anastasia Potapova in the Miami Open first round. Birrell also saved one match point serving down 5-4 in the decider.
