Bronzetti saves set points, beats Cristian for first time in five meetings
Lucia Bronzetti saved six set points in the first set to defeat Jaqueline Cristian at the Guangzhou Open and advance to her third tour-level quarterfinal of 2024. Bronzetti had lost all four of her previous meetings with Cristian, but this was their first hard-court contest.
