Lucky loser Okamura reverses qualifying loss to Baptiste in Tokyo
Kyoka Okamura had lost to Hailey Baptiste 6-3, 7-5 in the final qualifying round of the Toray Pan Pacific Open Tennis 2024, but got into the main draw as a lucky loser and reversed the result in straight sets. The win was the 29-year-old Okamura's first in a WTA main draw and first over a Top 100 player.
