Lucky loser Lys squeaks past Kessler into Osaka quarterfinals
Lucky loser Eva Lys battled to a 7-6(7), 3-6, 7-5 victory over McCartney Kessler in the second round of the Kinoshita Group Japan Open on Wednesday. Lys was twice down a break in the third set before notching the 2-hour and 40-minute win.
