Qualifier Lucrezia Stefanini won the first nine games against wild card Ana Sofia Sánchez in the first round of the Guadalajara Open Akron to go up 6-0, 3-0; lost the next seven games to go down 1-0 in the third set; then won six of the next seven to take the match.
