Sonmez outlasts Masarova to make Monastir second round
Qualifier Zeynep Sonmez pulled off a 4-6, 7-6(4), 6-3 comeback over Rebeka Masarova in the first round of the Jasmin Open on Tuesday. Turkey's Sonmez was two points away from defeat down 6-5 in the second set, but eventually prevailed in 2 hours and 35 minutes.
