No.3 seed Jaqueline Cristian needed 3 hours and 2 minutes to defeat wild card and fellow Romanian Elena-Gabriela Ruse in the second round of the UniCredit Iasi Open. Cristian advanced to her fourth quarterfinal of 2024 and improved to 3-1 overall against Ruse.
