Garcia defeats Baptiste to make Guadalajara quarterfinals
No.3 seed Caroline Garcia of France posted a 7-5, 6-4 win over Hailey Baptiste in the Guadalajara Open Akron Round of 16 on Wednesday. Baptiste had defeated Garcia in their only prior meeting, in the first round of the 2022 Australian Open.
