Career in Review

Following surgery and childbirth, began her comeback in February 2020 at Dubai where she fell 1r (l. Siegemund)

Fell 1r at 2017 Roland Garros (l. Svitolina) - her last match before undergoing ankle surgery which sidelined her for the rest of the season

In 2016, registered a 5-6 record vs Top 20 opponents, with wins over No.13 Vinci (Dubai), No.13 Safarova (Indian Wells), No.20 Svitolina (Wimbledon), No.15 Vinci (Wuhan) and No.10 Suárez Navarro (Beijing)

Achieved career-best R16 showing at 2016 US Open (l. S.Williams) and became the first player from Kazakhstan to advance this far at Flushing Meadows

Represented Kazakhstan at Rio Olympics, making 1r exit in singles (l. Doi), and 1r exit in doubles (w/Voskoboeva via ret.) Enjoyed run to QF at 2016 Wimbledon (l. V.Williams). Win over Goerges in 1r was first main draw victory since 2016 Charleston – had fallen in qualifying or 1r at seven successive tournaments
