MATCH POINTS

Petra Kvitova has won all four of her meetings with Ashleigh Barty. The two have already met twice this year, with Kvitova squeaking out a victory in the Sydney final before following up with a more straightforward victory in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open.

Kvitova can rise to the World No.1 ranking for the first time in her career by lifting the Miami Open title. She could also do the same by making the final, as long as she does not lose the championship match to Simona Halep. In that instance, Halep would reclaim the World No.1 ranking.

Barty is looking for the ninth Top 10 win of her career. She claimed a Top 10 win in the previous round when she extended her undefeated record against World No.8 Kiki Bertens to 4-0. Barty is projected to make her very own Top 10 debut if she can beat Kvitova for the first time.

Anett Kontaveit has beaten Hsieh Su-wei in straight sets in their only prior meeting, which came on the hardcourts of Guangzhou in 2015.

Hsieh is still alive in both singles and doubles and plays in both disciplines on Tuesday. She won her 21st career WTA doubles title earlier this year in Dubai, alongside her Miami partner Barbora Strycova.
