Happy International Women's Day - a time to celebrate women's achievements throughout history and across nations.
To mark the occasion, WTA stars including Angelique Kerber, Simona Halep, Karolina Pliskova and Venus Williams talk about what it means to #PressForProgress - this year's IWD theme - in the video below.
"If you believe in something and believe in yourself, you can go really far," Kerber says, with Halep adding: "We are strong enough to face any challenge of life. We can give confidence to each other."
A host of players also took part in a special photoshoot to celebrate the day at the BNP Paribas Open.
In 1977, the United Nations proclaimed March 8 as a time to reflect on progress made for women's rights, to call for change and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary women who have played an extraordinary role in the history of their countries and communities.
