MATCH FACTS

Timea Babos will extend her best showing at the Connecticut Open with victory over Daria Gavrilova on Tuesday. The Hungarian was knocked out in the last 32 on her only previous appearance at the event, five years ago.

Agnieszka Radwanska is yet to lose in three matches against Eugenie Bouchard, prevailing in Madrid in 2014 and again at both the Australian Open and Eastbourne last year. All three victories have been in straight sets for the Pole.

Mirjana Lucic-Baroni got the better of Shuai Peng in their only previous meeting, winning in straight sets on the Charleston clay last year.

Daria Kasatkina hopes to continue her winning run against Elise Merterns, having won their last match-up - on Daytona Beach in 2015.

Carla Suarez Navarro has made the second round three times previously - but never further. The Spaniard made that stage in successive years between 2011 and 2013.
