All roads lead to the BNP Paribas WTA Finals Singapore presented by SC Global - and the WTA stars competing in singles and doubles this week to cap a stellar 2017 have been documenting every step of their journeys on social media.

Earlier in the week, the singles stars put their wheels up, sharing their travel posts as they descended upon Singapore to end their seasons - and in Caroline Garcia's case, celebrate a birthday!

On Friday, the players put their best foot forward on the WTA Finals' purple carpet, getting glammed up ahead of the official draw ceremony and player gala.

At the event, the WTA's year-end awards were announced, with Garbiñe Mugutuza taking Player of the Year and Jelena Ostapenko earning Most Improved, among others.

In addition to the singles elite eight, the world's best doubles players started arriving in Singapore later in the weekend, taking in the stellar views and having fun before their tournament gets underway - both on the court and off.

The doubles draw will be made on Tuesday at 6 p.m. local time, headlined by WTA Doubles Team of the Year Martina Hingis and Chan Yung-Jan as the top seeds, and Wimbledon champions Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina as the No.2 seeds.

On Sunday, the official first day of play which saw Muguruza and Karolina Pliskova earn wins to open up play in the Whitw Group, Judy Murray held a clinic for local players and coaches as a part of her "Miss Hits" program, which is training coaches from 21 countries in conjunction with WTA Future Stars.

On hand was WTA Finals Legenda ambassador, and Germany's Anna-Lena Groenefeld, who qualified in doubles alongside Kveta Peschke.

Play at the WTA Finals continues on Monday night with Red Group action, as World No.1 Simona Halep faces No.8 seed Garcia, and No.4 seed Elina Svitolina faces No.6 seed Caroline Wozniacki.
