SINGLES FINAL

[2] CoCo Vandeweghe (USA) v [7] Julia GOERGES (GER)

MATCH FACTS

Both players are on a streak of sets won in Zhuhai. After losing the first set of her opening group match to Peng Shuai, Vandeweghe is on a six-set streak through to the final, while Goerges hasn't lost a set in three matches this week.

Regardless of Sunday's final result, Vandeweghe will make her Top 10 debut on Monday. A win for Goerges would see her set a new career-high ranking of No.14.

Though it won't officially count as a Top 10 victory should she win the final, the German has had a resurgent year against the world's elite, posting three wins in four matches against the Top 10 in 2017.

WHAT THEY SAID

"Every match starts from zero, and I know it's going to be my last match of the season, so I'll just put everything in what I have and trying to enjoy it, too, because it's not happening every day that you're gonna play a big final, especially at the end of the season where it has been long already and a lot of matches in for me. I'm just trying to really go for it and play my game and enjoy it at the same time." - Julia Goerges
