MINSK, Belarus - Having carved their way through a series of upsets to make their first ever Fed Cup final, Belarus will take on the might of 17-time champions the USA this weekend for the right to make history and lift the trophy.
On the underdogs' side is their home advantage - and Belarusian No.2 Aliaksandra Sasnovich showed the Fed Cup cameras inside Minsk's Chizhovka Arena, the 9,500-capacity stadium located on the banks of a reservoir in the south-east of the city that will be this weekend's venue.
Sasnovich also introduced the Belarusian team, as well as her parents - speaking about the sacrifices they had made as a family growing up without much money, such as her mother selling her jewellery to help finance the 23-year-old's tennis career.
Meanwhile, Team USA, seeking to take home the Fed Cup trophy for the first time since 2000, took advantage of some downtime to keep morale high with a spot of carpool karaoke. With CoCo Vandeweghe in the driver's seat - and in charge of air drumming - Sloane Stephens, Alison Riske and Shelby Rogers took on Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" with gusto.
