 Helped Elena Vesnina reach the doubles final of 2018 Australian Open and Indian Wells, along with capturing the doubles title in Madrid
• Aryna Sabalenka compiled a staggering 31-11 record in 2018 after bringing Tursunov on board, making two Premier finals and winning one of them in New Haven for her first career title
• Shortly thereafter, the duo went on to capture the biggest title of her young career at the Premier 5 event in Wuhan
• Under Tursunov, the Belarusian has rose from No.46 to a career-high rank of No.9 in the World 
• The tandem began their 2019 campaign with a title in Shenzhen and a semifinal visit at St. Petersburg

The Russian finished three seasons inside the Top 30 (2006, 2008 and 2013) and reached a career-high singles ranking of No.20 on October 2, 2006 after winning the title in Mumbai. Captured seven singles and seven doubles titles throughout the course of his professional career. Also won 12 Challenger and five Futures singles titles. Earned 30-plus tour-level wins in 2006, 2008 and 2013, highlighted by a 45-win effort in 2006. Posted his best Grand Slam results at Wimbledon, advancing to the fourth round in 2005-06. Helped Russia to the 2006 Davis Cup title.

Personal:
Moved to the U.S. from Moscow when he was 12 years old to train at the Gorin Tennis Academy in Sacramento, California. Was introduced to tennis by his late father, Igor, a former engineer for an Institute of Nuclear Research, who later coached and ran a tennis inventory business. Big fan of actors Jackie Chan, Will Ferrell and Owen Wilson. Hobbies include reading, romantic walks on the beach, cuddling and annoying people.
