Wang Xiyu saves match point in Madrid opener; faces No.1 Swiatek next
Wang Xiyu defeated Ana Bogdan 6-7(5), 7-6(4), 6-2 in the first round of the Mutua Madrid Open on Tuesday. World No.54 Wang was down match point at 5-4 in the second set, but turned the match around and won it in 3 hours and 21 minutes. Wang will play top seed Iga Swiatek in the second round, which will be their first meeting.
